#6 Everything is coming up Daisies

Daisy Delight Bundle

This is an awesome set. Some of you may know I love to garden and can usually grow just about anything, well that is except daisies. They always die on me. Tried them in the ground, in a pot, in the ground in a pot too. They look good for a few weeks and then start withering away stem by stem (insert very sad face here). So now I can have all the beautiful daisies I want with no worries. Hehe. I just love the bold colors of Gerbera Daisies so this is my version.

This lovely set is the Daisy Delight stamp set and the Daisy punch to match. You can save 10% if you bundle them together. Just look for the Bundle Block for the order number to save yourself some money.

Whew! The week is Done.

What a week it’s been too

It has been one of those weeks that was never going to end, a million and one things to do and your body says, NOPE! I guess I caught a bug from someone at work, no energy, didn’t want to eat, and was a bit on the achy side and was perfectly fine watching the paint dry on the walls from my recliner. Nothing else for symptoms though (Not My Norm if I get sick). So I had no clue as to why I felt so lethargic all week. I started a challenge to do fifteen cards in fifteen days as you can see we stopped on day 5. I did get a couple more made (that is a task when you feel cruddy). I keep trying and finally It came to an end. I did still go to work each day and came home whipped.

If ever you think being a Starbucks Barista is easy work come walk in my shoes for just one day. You will come away with a whole different reverence for our jobs. It is 8 hrs on your feet, blowing and going from the time you get there until the time you clock out. I can get 10k steps easily in a shift.
I will post the couple cards I got done but never found the energy to photograph & post, tomorrow morning. This weekend we also had a baby shower for my son & daughter in law. I made her 25 tea party themed thank you cards. I actually made them a few weeks ago and got them packaged up and done. I did’t procrastinate on it. ( I know, Wow!) The shower was a shabby chic Tea Party theme. Not too Girly, even though she’s having a girl.

Saturday has been the first day I have felt more normal. All week I have teased everyone I was visiting Neptune and didn’t know when I would return. My brain was on vacation and left my body behind. Hoping to have a better week and not so exhausted. I will TRY to post my 15 challenge cards as I make it a challenge only for myself now. Can I do it? We will see. Stay tuned.

May God Bless You and keep you until next time!

Card #5 Challenge 15 in 15

Country Livin’- Modern Style

As you know I have begun a challenge that my team is doing. We are making 15 projects in 15 days. For me that means mostly cards or smaller type 3D projects.

This last week my grandson had his 13th Birthday. Where did the time go? And his little brother just hit double digits (10yrs) during Summer Vacation from school. I was looking for something for a boy but not too kiddish. Finally started looking in the guys cards and found this one. If I need some inspiration I will look online and some part of a card will jump out and I will give it a tweak or two and go from there. Sometimes all you need is a jump start to get going.

We might CASE a card completely (Copy And Share Everything) Of course, we always need to give credit to the creator of the project. I went back looking for the creator of the one I got my idea from, Sadly it was only a jpg with no information about it. So if this card is similar to yours I apologize deeply for not acknowledging you as original creator.

Card #4 Funny Little Chick

Photo Bomb Chick

Sometimes you just have to create a card that makes you smile. A little laughter is good for the soul they say. I agree, I always feel much lighter when I’m laughing and in a good mood.

I hope this little guy lifts your spirits today.

I am told that there is a real chicken with these wild head feathers. A Polish Chicken. Of course, they aren’t red, blue or hot pink but wouldn’t it be great if they were. I would so own one of those.

Normally I would not post on something that is a retired product. But I had to show off these cutie pies. If you really like them I bet you could do a search and find it on Ebay or somewhere like that.

Happy 15th Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to My Daughter and Son-In-Law

They are celebrating 15 years. They are taking a short break from parenting and enjoying some well deserved time together. Stephanie, my daughter, has gone to school for as long as she has been alive it seems like. She is finished for a while now. She has fought her way from the bottom as an Associate Degree Nurse then to a Bachelors of Nursing, Masters of Nursing and finally her Family Nurse Practitioners License. I heard her say only ONE time (so far) that she MIGHT do her Doctorate Of Nursing. Through all of this she has gotten married has two wonderful boys, mischievous but wonderful. Held a full time job as a nurse, moved several times bettering their living environment and finally purchasing a home to settle down in just this year. My son-in-law Ben is a trooper. He is a great parent too. He stepped in to help out, no questions asked as soon as she started going to school. He has been her rock during all this time. Now that things are slowing down its going to be his turn. He started online classes a while back, just one class at a time so he could do everything else too. He wants to be a history professor. Go Ben! The saying,” it takes a village” is so true, some of the times Grandmas and Great grandmas had to help out too. After school pick up and care, piano lessons and baseball games. And just hanging out for the weekend when dad was out of town and mom was working nights. So I really hope they are having fun or just relaxing they deserve it.

I thought they deserved a special card for their 15th year. (and every year)

I had fun making it. Didn’t want it to be too girly. You can’t tell in the picture but there is a light dusting of dazzling diamonds on the navy card base.

I had so much fun with this set of stamps and dies I made a couple more types to have on hand just in case.
